Hi, my name is Tony Greenidge the founder of Sales Motivation
Ltd. By starting the company I wanted to provide something
different in the field of b2b sales training. Using a
powerful 1-2-1 assessment process my programme focuses
on getting salespeople to be fluent in 10
key areas of sales competency, regardless
of their start point. I know from my own experience that
these 10 competencies have a staggering impact on sales
performance. If you analyse the reasons why salespeople
fail, the answers are usually fairly simple and this hindsight
can be very costly.
I passionately believe that you cannot provide something
as vital to a business as sales training,
unless you are working with people on a 1-2-1 basis. In
my experience there is not a classroom style training
course available that can provide the same level of benefit
to all participants. The delegates will almost certainly
be made up of people who have different strengths and
weaknesses not to mention a differing ability to absorb
and retain information.
Lasting improvement is achieved by creating an environment
that supports and encourages people to change their natural
sales behaviours in ways that will impact positively on
sales performance. The real clincher is post training
follow up, there absolutely has to be a robust
process in place that is strictly adhered to. Failure
to do this is the largest single contributor to lack of
improvement and sadly this financial waste is rarely quantified.
In my view the provision of sales training in these circumstances
simply becomes a tick in the box exercise.
